So, what’s the deal with Zenn?

We hear the name Zenn spoken all of the time, but what is so special about these electric cars?

Well, they have been hailed as the best electric cars ever to be manufactured. They look, feel and drive like a traditional gas powered car, only with zero CO2 emmisions. They are the first real electric cars to ‘lose’ their tailpipe. As there are no fumes, there is no need for a tailpipe. These neighbourhood vehicles are so advanced that they have won awards and are endorsed by the government!

It is a shared thought, among many electric car drivers that everything that came before the Zenn cars was just a tiny vision of what could be achieved in the zero emmision and environmentally friendly car market. The manufacture and wide distribution of the Zenn has proved them right. It drives like a Smart car, which are high quality vehicles that are safe and are better for the environment than a standard gas guzzling suv, and they are much smaller. The Smart car did not satisfy a growing need to care for the environment, so Zenn came along and manufactured the highest quality electric alternative that money can buy.

Are they suppressing batteries for electric cars?

An oil company bought the patent on the nickel metal hydride battery from General motors. They have canceled the agreement to supply Mercedes motor corp. with these batteries. Reason, it seems, the Mercedes ML 450 hybrid which was scheduled for production in 2009 has to be cancelled. Read the article. Link:   “Chevron drains battery planned for Mercedes ML 450 hybrid, Mercedes SUES .”                                                                                                            In in reference to the last comment on my last article about The nickel metal hydride patent owned by the oil company the reader wrote, ”Since Chevron has owned the patent, its price has come down 75% . I would like to say this. Even if the oil companies sold the battery for the price of $1 you still couldn’t buy one if they refused to sell it to you, like they did with Mercedes.  And why should they? It is not in their best interest when they are making so much profit from oil sales… READ THE ARTICLE.  Our only hope is that someone gets a patent on a battery that take you further in your vehicle and they do not sell it to the oil companies.  Another good article to read on Internet is:  ”Chevron controls the worldwide patent rights for NIMH batteries used in the RAV4-EV,and won’t allow their use in EVs.”
