This may sound a little odd as the U.S. is becoming more and more ‘Green’. The developments of highly experimental electric car batteries are becoming a more distant memory as funding becomes threatened. Groups gathered in Michigan to discuss this issue and said that the government needs to offer decent incentives for this purpose, otherwise all funding will run dry and the advancement options for most U.S. electric car firms are likely to diminish.
It is thought that the whole process and application of appropriate funding could take up to two years, meaning that competing nations like the U.K. and China will steam ahead in the race to build the perfect, cleaner car.
GM, owners of Cadillac are trying their absolute hardest to take the lead in this losing battle to become the first company to produce and manufacture widely, the cleanest and greenest ‘plug-in’ hybrid. Although they have made some good progress more recently, it seems like Toyota and other Asian auto companies are set to take the lead, mainly because all of the parts, like the Lithium compound batterties are supplied by Asian exporters.

What a jerk you are. It doesn’t matter who builds the batteries or where they are built. “USA batteries” by A123 Systems are actually built in China, just like everything else. The other GM supplier, LG, builds theirs also in China, although it is a Korean company. When will you morons realize that 98% of the parts in an “American car” are built in China?
Most Japanese batteries will likewise be built in China.

Agreed, The U.S. auto manufactures are getting ready to get a big schooling of sorts by the smaller startups and foreign manufactures if they don’t move quicker on bringing an EV too market. Why they are dragging thier feet is beyond my understanding. Thier current offerings are totally out of alignment with what the people want, that is why they are hurting so bad right now. I know they cannot turn on a dime but they have had more than ample time to react and they have not. As a employee ofa tier 1 big three supplier (as well as a Mich resident) it pains me too see such a thing happen. I know (as everyone else does) that they CAN do it, they just have not. Cars have evolved alot over the years as far and physical design and function but the powertrains have not. They still run on gas with an ICE. I know how they like to over engineer interiors and creature comfort stuff like PS,PB,PW and all that jazz. One of them needs too step up with a basic, no frills EV so they can at least step up to the plate. Whomever brings it too market first will surely be surprised. Look at the little Smart Car, 1 year + waiting list and it still runs on gas! Align what you build with what people want and you’ll be back in the green, I know it’s the tail wagging the dog (i.e. people dictating the market, how dare we have an opinion huh) but hey, life sucks sometimes,

And YES, I do own an Electric Vehicle and I love the crap out of it. It’s a piece of poop compared to what the big three could make but hey, I’m not waiting. I WILL buy a Volt when it comes out I just know i’ll have to cough up an extra $10,000 too get it off ebay as they will not be able too make them fast enough the first year.

Response to the very childish and pointless comment by ‘kerry bradshaw’. I apologize if my post has offended you. I think you will find that right at the end it states that most batteries come from Asia, as you have gone to so much trouble to point out. The whole point of this and any other of my articles is to make people that are enthusiastic about helping to control climate change aware of what is going on in the world of electric cars. Everyone is entitled to their opinion about my posts, but let’s try to be at least a little bit mature shall we? This whole website is, in fact, a news and opinions posting forum, designed to inform people of what is happening in the world through the views and opinions of ordinary people. I do not appreciate being called a jerk, or a moron! Oh, and well done, you have successfully made yourself look like a total douche!

i imagine it was a bit rushed, and overlooked some features that not many people discuss about. Everyone knows that the majority new smartphones have web, so why present that basic function at its bear minimum. Scroll up scroll down zoom in zoom out. Actually? which new cellphone doesnt try this? How bout speak about how the textual content rearranges itsself. Also the texting, very poor review. Why didnt you mention you need to use the mic and text with your voice? Not noted ALOT of different extra necessary options
